Dublock

Ambient and minimal techno. Pounding beats, and waves of drones. The sound of caffeine wrestling with fatigue.

Dublock is the nom de plume of Gordon Chapman-Fox. Gordon is old enough to have been born into a world of space-age euphoria: Star Wars, Tom Baker as Doctor Who and the emerging electronic soundscapes of Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Wendy Carlos and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.

Gordon has been playing and composing music for over 20 years. 10 years spent in Mechagodzilla, playing “jazz-grindcore” involved a wide range of playing styles and genres. The last recording made with Mechagodzilla included a far more hands-on approach to the recording, mixing and producing of the demo.

Gordon has been making music on computer-based systems since 2003, under the name Heskin Radiophonic, and is fluent in Ableton Live and Logic Pro X.

In 2014 Gordon started working on new material for promotional films for Hopeful & Glorious, an arts and crafts event management company co-run by Gordon and his wife.

In 2017 Gordon ditched the Heskin Radiophonic name to become Dublock. This coincided with an upswing in productivity and one LP and two EPs have since been released on Romeda Records. More are in the pipeline. More remix and video work have followed.
